CCTV & Threat Prevention
The first line of defence is the site perimeter and increasingly our clients have CCTV at the top of the list, to monitor the flow of traffic and individuals in their range.
- Surveillance is becoming progressively more sophisticated at the same time, which can be integrated with a range of intruder and fire alarms as well as automatic barriers and gates.
- The challenge for all of us in the security arena is to find the balance between convenience for the end user of our systems, which may include staff, students, guests or VIPS, and ensuring their safety – in most situations without them having to think about it.
- Automation these days can be seamless, with face or number plate recognition even before individuals have entered the site and we will work with you to identify the most appropriate approach for your environment.
CCTV
Video systems help reduce crime and protect people and property and are becoming increasingly sophisticated in what they track and how they are managed.
From providing ‘eyes in the sky’ and viewing blind areas, to identifying people loitering and suspicious objects and even monitoring movement and traffic, CCTV comes in a wide range of guises and operating systems.
Whether you’re seeking a simple visual deterrent, a digital video recording and network data storage solution, or a more complex end-to-end high-definition surveillance system, A Plus Security has an outstanding knowledge of the marketplace and can provide guidance on the best CCTV solutions for your organisation and environment.
- Video Analytics can be added to scan for specific movement patterns.
- Video-surveillance can integrate with third-party systems to provide a complete solution utilising IP technology.
- Solutions are configurable and offer motion detection for specified areas and smart search capabilities to increase effectiveness of the CCTV system.
A Plus Security provides and supports customers to manage a whole range of smaller and large-scale IP video solutions.
Whether it’s a small shop floor that requires a few cameras or a complex integrated system requiring complete coverage of numerous areas, you can trust that you are getting the best solution for your security needs.
Brands we work with
We work with the main CCTV brands which provide a range of audio-visual options, depending on the complexity of your site and the integration required.
Brands include: Avigilon, Wavestore, Axxonsoft, Milestone, Cathexis, Genetec and Smart Sentry.
If you have a preferred brand, we’re happy to discuss alternative options with you.
Intruder and fire alarm systems
We design and install hard-wired or wire-free intrusion alarm systems to detect unauthorized entry into a building or area.
Ranging from small, self-contained locally audible alarms, to more complex, multi-zoned systems with colour-coded computer monitor outputs, systems can be combined with closed-circuit television surveillance systems to automatically record the activities of intruders and also can be interfaced to access control systems for electrically locked doors.
Depending on your fire or smoke detection and protection requirements, from the simplest two-zone conventional panel to a complex network of multi-loop digital addressable systems, or a thermal imaging solution, A Plus Security will guide, design, install and commission your system all the way through to hand-over and after care.
We work with a number of reliable and well-reputed systems for simple and more complex environments, including: Orisec, Texecom, Honeywell Galaxy, Pyronix, Optex, Senstar, Advanced, Apollo, Hochiki and SafeMesh.
Automatic barriers and gates
From movement or light-activation, ANPR or face recognition, to GPS and tag-activated, automatic barriers and gates are vitally the perimeter check for permissive access – for vehicles and pedestrians.
They must be reliable and often need to integrate with existing traffic or parking controls, internal speed lanes and turnstiles.
Some high security locations require a highly visible barrier solution as an integral part of a security strategy, including embassies and some corporate sites, and others a more subtle option, where customer convenience is paramount, including hotels and apartment buildings. We carry out a full site survey to identify the extent of visibility you need for your site and clients.
Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) is increasingly being used to control access to car parks, limited access or restricted areas. We fully integrate the ANPR with CCTV and access control and also use an analytics system to identify if an unknown vehicle approaches multiple times or a blacklisted vehicle approaches. The system raises an alarm as well as logging the vehicle details (car/van/colour...) and taking images.
We use a finite number of supplier brands, based on our experience and respect for their approach and technology, including: Newgate, FAAC, GiBiDi, SEA, CAME.
Additional perimeter security
We also implement perimeter detection, placing sensors along a fence line which reliably detect attempts to climb or cut a fence and feedback to a central point. It can also integrate with CCTV or access control for a holistic perspective.
Suppliers we use for perimeter security are: Gallagher, Senstar, EA Group, Automatic-Systems.
