Access control Systems
From financial and corporate environments to secure research facilities, access control monitors unauthorised entry to keep equipment, buildings, and people safe.
A Plus Security specialises in a broad range of access control solutions to fit your individual requirements - from conventional basic technology to highly intelligent fully integrated systems. We design, implement, and provide first-class post-project support, working with you from start to finish to assess and fulfil your security challenges.
Types of access control systems:
AUTOMATIC DOOR SYSTEMS (A.D.S.)
Our fully automated door entry and exit systems will assist you in returning to work. With our top of the range systems opening and closing automatically when a person approaches the door.
These can be linked to existing access control and intercom systems for security externally and release automatically via a sensor internally.
THERE ARE MULTIPLE BENEFITS FROM HAVING AN AUTOMATIC DOOR SYSTEM:
HANDS FREE HYGIENE CONTROL
The hands-free operation of automatic doors offers an optimal solution where sanitation is essential. Automatic doors can serve an essential purpose in all environments to help minimise the transmission of harmful viruses which could spread through the touching of contaminated push plates and door handles.
ENERGY SAVING
Automatic doors effectively contribute to energy saving and reduce annual heating and cooling costs. Doors open only when activated and automatically close so to eliminate the doors being left open. They also prevent air-conditioning from escaping and outside air and dust from entering.
ACCESSIBILITY
Since automatic doors can be opened without the use of hands, they offer convenience to everyone even with baggage in both hands and carrying a cart. Automatic doors are widely used at high traffic places like commercial buildings, hotels and public facilities to show care and good customer service. Automatic doors also provide excellent customer service by allowing everyone enters easily, regardless of their ages or physical capabilities.
INTERCOMS ACCESS CONTROL
Intercoms provide a convenient way to grant authorised access, by allowing a means of two-way communication prior to entry.
Vital for apartment blocks, vehicle, delivery entrances, or high security areas, intercom systems offer peace of mind to residents and individuals.
What are the benefits of an intercom system?
24/7 operation - Intercoms offer a flexible and cost-effective alternative to hiring security personnel. For sites that requires 24-hour access, intercoms can reduce, or replace the need all together for physical security.
Provide internal access control - Traditionally viewed as an external way of gaining access, intercoms can also be used for indoor settings, on wards for example, to prevent unauthorised access outside of visiting hours.
Improved communication - Unlike a key card or fob which can easily be exchanged, intercoms allow individuals to vet out a person before the site entrance, choosing whether or not to grant access. Intercoms are also efficient in fast-paced, high footfall or expansive sites, where an individual may need quick assistance, but has nobody in immediate distance to ask.
Control who comes and goes using state-of-the-art technology digital keypads, proximity or swipe card readers, on a timed or 24-hour access for all or individual staff. Audio and video door entry systems can be fully integrated with CCTV and Intruder Alarms, for all-around protection.
For higher-risk buildings, advanced features can be implemented to maximise security, including biometrics, intercoms, visual mapping, mobile phone credentials and more.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What type of access control system do I need?
Determining which type of system is needed varies across each project. By conducting a site survey, and liaising with you on your individual requirements, we’ll assess the critical areas of the building, its aesthetics, and the level of technology that would suit the premises to decide on the best suitable system.
Can an access control system be fitted onto any type of door?
Access control systems can be installed on to almost any type of door. From glass, steel and wood to high security and listed doors, there is a solution for all.
Will there be much disruption during the process
Disruption can vary depending on the type of system being installed. If the installation is made up of mainly wireless devices, then the disruption will be kept to a minimum. If the installation is of a more traditional setup, then there will be the need to run cables and utilise more hand power tools to mount devices.
Can our requirements fit our budget
Yes. There are many different combinations of devices that make up an access control system, in addition to different manufacturer pricing structures, so installing a system can be made feasible on a tight budget.
